The publication moves between descriptions of subterranean air currents, stories of spectral music heard from within the mountain, and intimate exercises of tactile perception. Through these shifting registers, the weather hole becomes a site where meteorological forecasting, sensual attention, and mythological imagination converge.

Produced as a poster publication in collaboration with designer Lucas Cantor, the work extends the logic of its subject into its form. Folding, cutting, and unfolding become gestures that echo the apertures and hidden systems evoked throughout the text.

Commissioned by Club Fringe, A Hole Under a Root continues the platform's interest in artistic practices that approach research as a porous and situated activity, where speculation, locality, and material inquiry generate alternative ways of relating to place and its histories. The first edition comprises 80 copies and was launched on 26 February 2026 during a performance by the artist at Kunsthaus Bregenz.
